Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These terms apply when you download or use the MyMic: Bluetooth Mic & Speaker iPhone app (the "App"). If you do not agree with them, please do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on an iPhone you own or control, for your own use, in line with these terms and with Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement.

You may not: copy, modify or create derivative works of the App; distribute, sublicense, rent or lend it; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it; or use it for any unlawful purpose.

2. What the App does

The App routes audio from your iPhone's microphone to a connected Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker in real time. It requires iOS 16.6 or later and is designed for iPhone only — it is not an iPad or Mac app.

It depends on hardware we do not control. Audio quality, latency and reliability depend on your iPhone, your speaker, and the Bluetooth connection between them. We do not guarantee compatibility with every speaker, and we are not responsible for the functionality, safety or quality of third-party speakers.

3. Free and Pro

The core of the App is free, permanently: going live on any Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker, the Normal voice, automatic echo ducking, background broadcasting and the live visualiser.

MyMic Pro unlocks the eight additional voice effects (Demon, Radio DJ, Low, High, Robot, Alien, Chipmunk, Buzzy) and the adjustable echo-reduction control. It is offered as:

  • an auto-renewing weekly subscription;
  • an auto-renewing yearly subscription; and
  • a lifetime unlock — a one-off purchase, not a subscription.

The prices shown in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase are the ones that apply.

Billing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID on confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or from Settings → Manage subscription inside the App. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.

The lifetime unlock is a one-off purchase and does not renew.

If you reinstall the App or move to a new iPhone, use Settings → Restore purchases to restore what you have bought.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's refund policy — we cannot issue them ourselves. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your country.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App:

  • to amplify audio in breach of noise rules, or in a way that harasses or endangers other people;
  • to capture or amplify anyone's voice where the law requires their consent and you do not have it;
  • for anything unlawful, threatening, abusive or harassing; or
  • to interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or our servers.

You are responsible for volume. Amplified audio can damage hearing and cause acoustic feedback. Keep the volume sensible, keep the phone away from the speaker, and take care around children.

5. The feedback board

The App includes a feedback board where you can submit bug reports and feature requests, reply to others, and vote. Anything you post there is sent to our servers and can be seen by other users of the App.

Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading, infringing, or anything containing personal information about yourself or anyone else. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store and use that content in order to run the board and improve the App. We may remove any post, and suspend access to the board, at our discretion.

6. Your audio, your content

You keep all rights to anything you say or create using the App. We never receive it — audio is processed on your device and never uploaded. How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Our rights

The App, its name, its design and its content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trade mark law. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.

8. Availability and disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with any particular speaker, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App — including any interruption of audio, any failure of a Bluetooth connection, any acoustic feedback, or any hearing damage caused by volume levels you selected.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App or the feedback board if you break these terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — licence restrictions, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law — will survive.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it — that is our responsibility. We are solely responsible for any claim relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Your use of the App is also subject to the App Store Terms of Service.

12. Third-party services

Subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat, and payment is processed by Apple. Diagnostics and the feedback board run on our own servers. See the Privacy Policy for what each of them receives.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will give reasonable notice, and continuing to use the App after it takes effect means you accept it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and may bring proceedings there.
